Couch - Recovered!

When we moved to California, we had minimal furniture. My inlaws were coming to visit and we were wondering if we should buy a new couch, though I didn't really want to.  I knew we needed something other than kitchen chairs and yes, our living room was looking pretty empty.  Well, God knew what we needed and sent my friend Monc to the rescue!! She's recently moved here and had a couch that was too long for her new house.  She offered it to us for the same price she'd paid... FREE... :) Who can beat a free, comfortable couch!!!  We brought it home the day before my inlaws arrived.

The couch was super comfy but every time I looked at it, I saw a Grama's couch. I'm not digging that style at this point in my life. :)  I read online about recovering a couch and using slipcovers.  Someone suggested using an old sheet. ... the light just turned on!!!

I bought a new set of deep, king size sheets at Ross. I used the sheets to make a slipcover for the couch and a separate cover for the long couch cushion!

Kinda weird how the color change makes it look smaller, but it's the same comfy couch!!!

Can't wait for Monc to see the 'new' couch!

"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."

We are truely blessed!
