I Am a Child of God with Sign Language

I Am a Child of God with Sign Language

This song is signed using ASL (American Sign Language) in English word order.
In Texas, we called this PSE (Pidgin Sign Language).
Some of my signs are different from other signed versions of this song because there’s more than one way to say the same thing. For example… pants, jeans, and britches mean the same piece of clothing.  If you are more comfortable using a different sign for part of this song, go for it!

Feel free to share, use, print, and enjoy.

I'm published again!!! "Mary's First Christmas"

I'm super excited!
I've published my second children's story with sign language!
 Mary's First Christmas

Here's what BUFFDriver had to say about it..... "I love the way this book is put together! Mary's First Christmas guides the reader through the Christmas story from Mary's point of view. At the same time the story easily guides you through the sign language associated with this unique take on the Bible story of Jesus' birth. This book is great for young and old alike who are interested in not just reading a story, but actively signing along with the adventure. Its awesome to see how children can quickly pick up the sign language used in the story! With cute drawings, clear signs, and a unique twist, Mary's First Christmas reintroduces fun to the season."

Mary's First Christmas
is available for purchase on Amazon!

May our Christmas season be full of joy and peace
as we focus on the real reason that we celebrate Christmas,
  ...the birth of our Savior!

The Pigs Got Out - Book for sale

It's been about 1 year since I started creating a children's story book with sign language and it's finally been published! It's been a fun journey and I have learned a lot!  I highly recommend self publishing to anyone who is thinking of publishing their own book.

One cool thing about self- publishing through CreatSpace is the royalties.  I get 80% of the royalties when someone buys my book though my CreateSpace store and 60% of the royalties when they buy it from Amazon!   Other large publishers only give the author about 10% of the royalties.

Check it out and let me know what you think!!!
It's for sale on Amazon or at my CreateSpace Store

Start ASL listed The Pigs Got Out  as one of 'The Best Baby Sign Language Books'!!!!

Happy Signing and reading!

HOPE YOU ENJOY THE PREVIEW!!!
I still have lots of work to do, yet am very grateful to my Heavenly Father for the many things I'm learning and for little blessings that he sends to give me a little boost when I feel this journey of self-publishing is a pain in my fingers :)

Read a story with sign language

Howdy all y'all!!!  I need your opinions!!!

I want to create some story books with sign language at the bottom .
Here's a sample layout, just to get the basic idea. (Bill Vicars of www.Lifeprint.com is signing the words)

Think this is a good idea and worth pursuing?
 Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas?
I also want to do scripture stories with sign language!! :)

I would like the signs at the bottom to be similar to these by Cindy Wheeler

I was also wondering if I should 'give' the main characters a name sign or just have have it spelled out through the whole book?   Here's an article that talks about name signs.

I've never done a book before so I am learning a lot and appreciate any advice you're willing to give!
Anyone published a book on their own?
