Taco Seasoning Mix

Taco Seasoning Mix

Makes 3 T.

Use 1 T per pound of ground beef.

1 T. chili powder

1/4 t. garlic powder (dried minced garlic)

1/4 t. onion powder (dried minced onion)

1/4 t. crushed red pepper flakes

1/4 t. dried oregano or marjoram

1/2 t. paprika or cayenne pepper

1 1/2 t. cumin powder (dried cumin seeds)

1 t. salt

Mix all and store in an airtight container.

I toss all the spices, except the chili powder and paprika powder, in a small spice grinder (can use mortar and pestle) and pulse it 'til it makes a fine powder. Then put in a container with a lid with paprika and chili powder and shake til combined.  Store in airtight container.
