What kind of friend?

What kind of a friend are we?

Are the folks we hang around helping us become our best selves?

In 1 Corinthians 13:4-6 Paul teaches the people in Corinth, and us, about having Charity, the pure love of Christ.

We can see how we are doing by substituting our own name for the word charity.

Have your kids to place the name of themselves, their friend, or their newest crush in this verse and see how they are measuring up.

______ suffereth long, and is kind;
______ envieth not;
______ vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
______ doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own,
______ is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
______ rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in truth.

When we become more like Jesus, we become the right type of person for someone else to like being around.

May God bless us all on our journey back to Him!
