Peace is waiting for each of us, we just need to reach out and access it.
God has already set the terms for living in peace. They are not the same terms that the world uses.
Matthew 14:22-33 tells of Peter walking on the water to Christ. Only when Peter took his focus off the Savior, did he falter and sink into the water.
We will ALWAYS have storms and troubles in our lives.
"in the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." -John 16:33
How can we keep our gaze fixed on Christ amid the storms and darkness of our lives and remember that things will work out?
Do our best to reach out to Christ. He will always respond.
John 14:18, 27 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Choose to hand over our struggles and worries to Christ.
Focus on Christ and choose not to worry. 'Let it go.'
We will always have opposition, but we can have joy in it and peace because of Christ. Our goal is to find peace amid our trials.
Isaiah 41:10 "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."
Surround ourselves with people who feel the peace.
Find others to serve.
Try to be kind
Try to be gentle
Try to be slow to anger
Pray for those who have offended or hurt us and ask God to help you serve them. Turn our pain and anger over to God, let him take care of it and we will keep our peace.
Study the scriptures
Go to the temple
Pray
Reach out to Christ! Your peace just a prayer away!
