page viii, Testimony of 3 witnesses, Testimony of 8 witnesses
paragraph 1, line 15
"The voice of the Lord commanded us (Oliver, David, and Martin) that we should bear record of it (seeing the golden plates); wherefore, to be obedient unto the commandments of God, we bear testimony of these things."
This reminded me of 1 Nephi 3:7 Nephi told his dad, "I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them"
The Savior also showed his willingness in Luke 22:42 when he said, "Father if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done."
? What is one thing God has asked us to do that is hard for you to accomplish? Maybe it is something you should start doing or stop doing (video link). Let's pray for God to strengthen us and help us accomplish those things today.
! In the evening, share with each other... What you found the courage to do that was pleasing to God. What did it feel like? Perhaps you felt the Holy Spirit comforting, cheering, or strengthening you. He is God's helper for us all!
Pray Tell God about your experiences and thank Him for... giving you strength and courage and for supporting you through your daily challenges.
